Despite the fact that I waxed and edged my K2’s yesterday evening, I took my race skis for a bit of a blast today. As expected the pistes were reasonably empty today and only a couple of lifts had queues; one was a drag lift that I had to take to get over to St Martin de Belleville and the others I simply skied past – the next lift would always be queue-free.
I was out for about 4 hours – an hour longer than yesterday – and skied further, harder and faster. Fortunately there were no adverse effects other than slightly tender calves so I should be fit for the Instructor Training course which starts on Wednesday.
