Instructor Training course – Week 2, Day 2

More teaching practice this morning - my 8 year olds lived up to my expectations and failed to listen but I rounded them all up eventually.

More technique practice on basic parallel turns this afternoon.  Still not good enough and they were better than my short turns and carved turns to begin with.

Tomorrow we have a written exam so I’ve been revising this evening and didn’t even get out to watch the England game.

Good luck with the written exam, I’m sure you’ll sail through!

The 8 year olds will struggle with correct pen holding technique if indeed they can utilise such a tool - more likely a game pad me thinks.
Press the eject and give me the tape as Pete M used to say…

    andy,
do you think that the rest of the members of the course are so annoying because they dislike you for some reason? maybe it’s because thry’re younger and of a different maturity (or species, i.e. the chimps!)?
Hoe is the assesment going? and did the written exam go ok? fairly easy I thought, especially if you put in enough revision to miss the england game!
Have you decked the juvenile yet?

I don’t think they annoy me deliberately - they are simply immature, self-centered and selfish - it’s their general behaviour which annoys, it’s incredibly childish.
The lounge is cleaned once a week but I don’t know why the staff bother - it becomes a pig-sty again within hours.
At least once a week I’ll be woken by a drunken rabble returning at 3am and be kept awake by their shouting (literally) for the next 30 minutes or an hour. You can’t reason with a drunk and drunks don’t care about anyone else.
Better not deck the juvenile - a short-lived pleasure might have unpleasant lonmg-term consequences.
